Blended Learning Program Launching in the Netherlands

A new, forward-thinking approach to cleanroom training is coming to the Netherlands.

CWS Cleanroom Academy and the Biotech Training Facility (BTF) in Leiden have partnered to develop a modern training concept designed specifically for professionals working in cleanroom environments.

The cleanroom industry is growing rapidly, particularly in biotech, pharmaceuticals, and medical technology. At the same time, requirements for hygiene, process reliability, and staff qualifications are becoming increasingly demanding.

This is exactly where the new partnership comes in.

Combining Digital Learning with Hands-On Practice

The new program is based on a blended learning approach that combines flexible online modules with practical, on-site training.

Participants first build a strong foundation through digital learning, covering topics such as:

  • cleanroom standards

  • contamination control

  • cleaning and disinfection processes

This is followed by hands-on training sessions at the Biotech Training Facility in Leiden, where participants apply their knowledge in a realistic cleanroom environment.

A central focus of the program lies in the precise execution of cleaning and disinfection processes and the implementation of ergonomic working methods. Mastering these aspects is essential—not only to ensure consistent product quality, but also to actively protect and sustain employee health over the long term.

Designed for the Dutch Market

To ensure maximum relevance and practical value, the training content is fully tailored to the Dutch market and will be delivered entirely in Dutch.

Launch Timeline

The program is currently in its final preparation phase. A successful test run has already been conducted in Leiden to ensure that all content, structure, and practical elements function smoothly in real-life conditions.

The official launch of the program is planned for autumn 2026.
