Adryan: GMP Introduction
This introductory training provides new employees with no prior GMP or biopharmaceutical background with a practical overview of the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry. By combining classroom theory with guided tours through GMP cleanroom facilities, participants will gain a basic understanding of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) principles and the key manufacturing technologies used in biopharmaceutical production.
This half-day training is designed for employees who are new to the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry and do not work directly in GMP-regulated manufacturing. The programme introduces the fundamentals of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), including its purpose, regulatory framework and importance in ensuring the quality and safety of medicines.
The theoretical session is followed by guided tours through the upstream processing (USP), downstream processing (DSP) and drug product facilities. During these tours, participants receive a high-level explanation of the manufacturing process and the function of key equipment, including washing equipment and autoclaves, preculture and fermentation systems, chromatography equipment, vial washing and depyrogenation, aseptic handling in a laminar airflow (LAF) cabinet and an automated filling line.
